For many decades, the restaurant and hotel of the same name have represented one of the most beautiful photographs of the Sardinian hinterland. You can sit on the terrace with a breathtaking view of vineyards and olive groves or in one of the beautiful, rustic dining rooms decorated with Sardinian handicrafts, including one with a huge fireplace where you can watch the cooking of the famous porceddu. In a small village overlooking the Sinis Peninsula, the restaurant has been established within an old mill and is dedicated to 'su murruai', Sardinian for the scent of aged Vernaccia. Contemporary Mediterranean cuisine is curated by young chef Ivan Matarese, who seeks quality regional ingredients—from both the mainland and the Gulf of Oristano—to reimagine modern recipes. Additionally, some Campania influences—being the chef's origin—are evident, especially in the desserts, half of which draw inspiration from renowned Campanian sweets (reimagined pastiera and babà).

Don’t be fooled by the relatively simple ambience of this trattoria which is situated in the centre of a town with an interesting history linked to the reclamation of the marshes and the dairy industry. Dedicated to the owner’s two grandmothers, the restaurant serves some of Sardinia’s best-known meat and fish specialities.

The gastronomic tradition of Nuoro and Barbagia comes to life in a restaurant with rustic charm. The recipes, enriched with personal touches, preserve the authentic flavor of their origins: pasta is strictly homemade and ingredients largely come from the local territory.

Somewhat off the beaten path from the shopping streets, the restaurant has a fresh and trendy allure, with background music and cordial, competent service in the dining room. While the dishes follow the seasons – with meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes alternating – taste and quality remain essential constants. You’re certainly presented with the menu, but if desired, three different tasting menus are also offered.
