This former farmhouse, which is over 350 years old, has been turned into the lovely Johanniter-Kreuz Romantik Hotel, complete with a tasteful, rustic-style restaurant in what was once the stable. Old beams and a central fireplace lend the space a cosy atmosphere. The food is rooted in classical culinary tradition, with regional influences and close ties to the seasons. Vegetarians are also catered for, and there is a decent wine selection.

Three sisters run both the hotel – with some classic, some stylishly modern guestrooms – and the restaurant, which offers really good seasonally influenced cuisine. There are three cosy dining areas inside; outside, there are tables on the terrace in the shade of the plane trees, which affords views of the orchards!
