The menu at this restaurant features traditional dishes from Campania with updated twists, some of which (such as the “sigilinium” bread) even date back to Ancient Roman times. The cuisine, which is always delicious and beautifully presented, is showcased on various tasting menus from which individual dishes can also be chosen à la carte style and swapped from one menu to another. Although we chose to order fish (we particularly enjoyed the “Mediterraneo da scoprire” grouper dish), there is also a vegetable-based option. The front of house is overseen by the chef’s friendly and efficient wife,

It would be impossible to describe this venue without beginning with the welcome, the authentic hallmark of the Izzo family: a warmth and attentiveness that transforms every visit into a memorable experience. Leading the gastronomic proposal is Maicol, who expresses his vision through a seasonal and surprise tasting menu in constant evolution: the number and sequence of dishes remain unknown, leaving space for a free narrative constructed in the moment. The experience unfolds across several different rooms in a dynamic itinerary that may vary throughout the year: it often begins in the kitchen,

O Me O Il Mare

Italian Contemporary, Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

The name pays homage to the chef’s father, himself a cook, an ultimatum issued by his then-girlfriend to “force” him ashore from cruise ship work, which has since become something of a family mantra. The talented sommelier is his wife; together they worked in various gourmet restaurants along the Campanian coast before realizing their dream of ownership here, in Luigi Tramontano’s hometown.

Il Principe

Modern Cuisine, Contemporary

€€

This restaurant focuses on a skilful and creative reinterpretation of Campanian specialities, serving the type of cuisine that you’d be happy to eat every day. Although the dishes are inspired by the chef’s childhood memories and his grandmother’s cooking, he adds his own contemporary touch and careful presentation. Both meat and fish feature, showcasing all the colour and imagination of the best regional cuisine.

Capasanta

Seafood, Contemporary

€€

Just steps from the Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary, young, talented chef Paolo Del Giudice delights with sea-driven, modern cooking. In a minimalist, marine-inspired space, he serves vibrant, flavorful dishes grounded in contemporary technique. Don’t miss his crudo selections and the irresistible scallops wrapped in lardo with spring pea purée and buffalo stracciatella. Excellent wines and a rich selection of house cocktails round out the experience.

Cosmo Restaurant

Modern Cuisine, Seasonal Cuisine

€€

Although the menu here and there includes references to Campanian gastronomy and produce, Cosmo stands out as an excellent gastronomic destination for those seeking more elaborate and creative cuisine, the work of a young chef who produces complex dishes of a very high standard.

Acqua & Sale

Seafood, Mediterranean Cuisine

€€

The enthusiastic owners of Acqua & Sale have transformed what was originally a simple fishmonger’s into a restaurant with the addition of an informal, well-appointed dining room on the side. Here, guests enjoy unfussy fresh fish dishes, including an array of raw options and Mediterranean recipes with the occasional personal touch. Recipes include grilled octopus with black broccoli and wine-fermented plums, and porchetta-style tuna with a green sauce, fried new potatoes and sweet and sour peppers. The perfect choice for fish-lovers!
