Even after META moved to Piazza Riforma in the heart of the city, a visit here is still highly recommended. The entrance is somewhat hidden, with a small staircase leading up to the second floor. The design is chic and elegant, and classic Italian cuisine full of energy, soul and flavour is served at beautiful marble tables. Here and there, Asian accents are also incorporated. There is a set menu as well as à la carte dishes. You will be looked after attentively and professionally. Tip: they offer an impressive selection of champagnes.

Situated within the beautiful Splendide Royal hotel (now approaching its 140th anniversary!), this small, welcoming restaurant serves gourmet cuisine prepared by new chef Marco Veneruso, a southern Italian whose respectable CV gives his dishes intensity, strength and finesse.
