Loved by locals, this branch is located in Old Town, at the footsteps of AlUla's fort. It’s nestled in a humble village house that has two small dining rooms, a few tables on the roof overlooking the palm grove and some others on the pavement. The menu is true to the traditional recipes of regional Saudi dishes, sprinkled with some from other Middle Eastern regions. Some classics here are the kabsa flavoured with AlUla's oranges, or a textbook Omm Ali dessert. This place is a perfect pitstop when wandering about the Old Town – and great value too.

Named after the Spanish word for ‘together’, this is one of the best places to dine while admiring the architecture in AlUla’s Old Town. Part of Dar Tantora The House Hotel, the Spanish-inspired Middle Eastern restaurant is an ensemble of renovated traditional buildings resembling a medina, with its maze of narrow streets and walls covered by cob. Interiors are adorned with traditional frescoes, Persian carpets and wooden furniture. As for the food, the restaurant’s oasis-to-table ethos is subtly found across the generously portioned dishes. Appetisers feature Levantine mezze, an excellent var

You’ll find this eatery located on the edge of AlUla’s largest palm grove, a short walk away from the Old Town. The restaurant blends contemporary and traditional Mediterranean design, with its comfortable cushions, wrought iron furniture, piles of fresh fruits dotted around and dune frescoes on the walls. The main attraction is the wooden terrace that overlooks AlUla oasis. Middle Eastern classics, mostly from Egypt and Lebanon, boast some creative twists with occasional hints of fusion, resulting in dishes that are colourful, generous and packed with flavour. Favourites include shawarma-fill

Part of the Banyan Tree Hotel, located in the Ashar Valley, this contemporary restaurant offers one of the most scenic views of the desert. From the off, the friendly team warmly welcome you and are ready to guide you through the varied options of the menu. The Pan Arabic list of specialties include umami-packed muhammara paste served with a soft flat bread, the margoog, a generous lamb and vegetable stew made to share, and for dessert, the must-try lightly layered cake made with moringa. If you’re not staying at the hotel, just show them your restaurant reservation for smooth access.

Come here for picturesque views of the Ashar Valley and tasty Middle Eastern dishes. This modern restaurant in Our Habitas AlUla is located by a pool which overlooks an incredible landscape. The food is fitting for the setting; it is modern Middle Eastern at its core, with the use of many ingredients grown in Saudi Arabia or caught in the Red Sea, but with a gentle creative touch added in. Dishes like a quinoa and fig mahroussa, a salad with local greens and a coffee dressing, or the feather-light vegan pavlova are real delights. For non-hotel guests, you will need to show a booking confirmati
