Casa Alva

Farm to table, Modern Cuisine

€€€

This restaurant has an upscale modern interior that beautifully incorporates original architectural features from the former parsonage in which it is housed. The cosy setting is complemented by the warmth and dedication of your hosts, creating a truly inviting atmosphere. Ambitious cuisine is served as the "Chef's Choice Menü", in a five- to eight-course format. Mediterranean, French and regional influences go into dishes such as "scallop, peas, chorizo, shallots" or "ricotta and wild garlic tortellini, asparagus cream, morels". Cavigilli

Swiss, Traditional Cuisine

€€

Combining modern features with the original wood and stone, plus cordial service and a pleasingly down-to-earth atmosphere, this charming 15C Grisons building provides a wonderful setting in which to enjoy seasonal ingredient-led cuisine. The focus is on the essentials, so the flavoursome dishes are served in pared-down combinations. Tip: Make the most of the quiet terrace in summer! There is a small and simple lunch deal.

Mulania Brasserie

International, Seasonal Cuisine

€€€

With its combination of sleek, contemporary style and rustic ceiling beams, this old Graubünden building provides an attractive setting. Host couple Yvonne Marx and Sascha Meyer have reimagined their place as a brasserie, serving tried-and-tested regional specialities such as capuns (chard rolls) or quark pizokels (buckwheat spaetzle), plus brasserie classics like moules frites or beef bourguignon. Last but not least, there are some delicious seafood options – the chef's first love. Delightful terrace. Open from 3pm.

Gasthaus am Brunnen

Country cooking

€€€

The picturesque Gasthaus am Brunnen sits in the centre of this Graubünden mountain village. Locals meeting for lunch or a drink favour the rustic dining room, while the smart, minimalist-style restaurant is more elegant. The food is modern and uses exclusively local produce. Try the veal tenderloin cooked on a rock salt slab and served with herb caviar, mustard and garlic risotto and vegetables. The female chef's desserts are delicious.
