A restaurant that will come as something of a surprise given its location inside the Pintar Artistic Materials boutique, in the Pompeia district of the city. Here, you’ll find an unpretentious yet welcoming ambience, plus a glass-fronted patio with an organic garden. Young chef Victor Dimitrow, who gained experience working in leading restaurants in Europe, creates contemporary cuisine which is fragrant, full of taste and highly expressive from fresh and organic ingredients, but without unnecessary frills. The menu is updated every three weeks or so and offers three full options (including cov

This restaurant located on the rear patio of a century-old property has the added and somewhat surprising bonus of a large wine shop. Enthusiastically run by young chefs Juliana and Guilherme (a couple who met in the French town of Écully), it features outdoor tables in the courtyard with its abundant greenery, including a large jabuticabeira tree growing between the tables. In this setting, which is particularly romantic at night when candlelit, the cuisine showcases regional ingredients and combines Brazilian, French and Italian influences through dishes such as the gnocchi au gratin with be

An unusual and exclusive restaurant that is more akin to a secret dining club, where guests dine at the same time and important details are requested before they arrive (such as if they are right- or left-handed, if they have any allergies, or if they prefer sake or wine, etc). In the bright interior, with its minimalist decor and impressive dining counter with just nine seats, the aim is to resurrect classic and authentic Japanese cuisine using ancestral techniques that make full use of the best market ingredients (scallops with sea salt, sea bream with yuzu, yellowtail with sesame, horse mac

Ever wondered what a fusion of Brazilian and Mexican cooking would taste like? The answer is... simply wonderful! Chefs Luana Sabino and Eduardo Nava Ortiz, who met while working at a restaurant in New York, decided to pool their know-how to treat our palates to an incredible concept. The menu marries the techniques and traditions of authentic Mexican cooking with fresh Brazilian ingredients, creating dishes that champion seasonality and celebrate the best of each ingredient. You can choose à la carte or go for the nine-moment tasting menu, which includes the refreshing starter Aguachile de ma

Modern Cuisine, Brazilian · ★★★ Michelin

It is rare to encounter a restaurant that expresses, without restraint, its chef's desire and passion for gastronomy, life, and nature — yet at Evvai, that is precisely what you will find! The concept of chef Luiz Filipe Souza, which successfully fuses Brazilian and Italian influences, yields dishes that are not only visually stunning but also brimming with skill, knowledge, and balance — it is remarkable how the chef manipulates temperatures as though they were simply another texture. The offering takes the form of a single tasting menu called Oriundi — a symbol of cultural exchange — beginni

Jun Sakamoto

A highly unusual restaurant that could almost pass unnoticed as it has no external signage to show that it exists! Here, everything revolves around owner-chef Sakamoto, a man with lots of personality who is said to make the best nigiri in São Paulo. If you have the opportunity, we recommend sitting at the sushi bar, where the focus is on two Omakase tasting menus–one prepared by Jun Sakamoto himself, the other by his right-hand man, chef Ryuzo Nishimura (the price of the menu will depend on which of them does the cooking). For those sitting at the bar, the nigiris (such as Bluefin tuna, salmon

Più Higienópolis

If you’re passionate about Italian cuisine and delicious fresh pasta, you’ve probably already heard of this restaurant, as Più is one of the pioneers of Italian cooking in the Greater São Paulo area. Under the baton of chef Marcelo Laskani, it now has its second outlet in the Shopping Pátio Higienópolis, where the innovative cooking calls upon top-quality Brazilian ingredients. Dishes such as tuna carpaccio stand out for their fresh, light touch, and are raised to an even higher level by a delicious accompaniment of fresh tomato, raspberry vinegar and burrata. A delightful restaurant in the Vila Madalena district of the city, featuring a natural plant-covered façade, a glass-fronted dining room and an open kitchen with restrained tones and a simple decor. Here, chef Nando Carneiro creates innovative cuisine with a contemporary touch and a combination of seasonal ingredients. The superb wine selection is the domain of sommelier and front-of-house manager Patrícia Werneck. The cooking at Nomo is out of the ordinary and includes combinations of high-quality ingredients and impressive flavours that come as a pleasant surprise. One of the standout dishes
