Gourmetstube Einhorn
Creative, International · ★ Michelin
€€€€
Occupying a 13C post house, this restaurant is part of the elegant Stafler hotel, which means that there are guestrooms available for those not wanting to drive home after dinner. This intimate gourmet restaurant has just five tables laid out in a romantic Stube decorated with wood that dates back to medieval times. Chef Peter Girtler offers guests just one tasting menu (from which they can choose four, five or six courses) which features an array of creative dishes full of different ingredients and colours and a combination of meat, fish and vegetables.

€€
This restaurant situated in the splendid Stafler hotel on the road to Austria is perfect for a romantic dinner, with a comfortable Stube-style dining room and an internal garden for fine weather. Friendly and welcoming staff and traditional Tyrolean cuisine with a focus on ingredients from the Isarco valley, plus interesting personal twists added by the chef.

Kleine Flamme
Fusion, Creative
€€€
In his small open-view kitchen situated in the centre of this restaurant, chef Bacher Burkhard develops his vision of fusion cuisine with energy and precision, combining flavours from Italy and the Alto Adige with Asian spices and techniques to create delicious and imaginative dishes. His tuna tataki is superb, seasoned with salty lemon oil and accompanied by intriguing bitter herbs that (as Professor Montanari has noted in a recent book) are particularly popular with Italians. The chef’s wife Annelies works front of house, where she looks after guests in a friendly and professional manner.
