Italian Contemporary, Creative · ★ Michelin
€€€
This restaurant in the heart of the small town is run by a brilliant couple: Sara, who is extremely knowledgeable about her own wine list, offers guests an interesting selection of wines while also overseeing the precise and friendly service front of house; and Fabio, at the helm in the kitchen, prepares original cuisine that showcases the ingredients of the Agro Pontino. The chef shows real sensitivity in his lamb dish, which combines local ingredients with Indian influences, as if to encourage integration with the many Indian immigrants who have settled in this area. Colline Ciociare
Cuisine from Lazio, Creative · ★ Michelin
€€€€
About sixty kilometers from the capital, along a road that winds through numerous curves in its final stretch, to arrive here you must have truly heard about the delicacies that Salvatore Tassa brings to the table. The tasting menu offers a choice between 5 or 7 courses, with infinite creativity: from tradition balanced between Lazio and great Italian classics, to the most daring pairings. Just a few dishes are enough to reveal the universe of this cook-poet, far from any trend or definition, who favors vegetables and employs interesting cold extraction techniques, as in the celeriac reduction

Riso Amaro
Modern Cuisine, Italian Contemporary
€€
Inspired by the famous film Bitter Rice, directed by Giuseppe De Santis, who was born in Fondi, this restaurant welcomes guests into elegant dining rooms and a lush courtyard which is perfect for summer evenings. The cuisine looks to the present with a well-balanced creative flair that is evident in dishes such as the cuttlefish lasagnetta, served with an intense creamy sauce made from cuttlefish ink and offal, or the intriguing sweet “pinzimonio”, a fresh and light dessert that combines sweet-and-sour vegetables with softer notes. The concise but thoughtfully curated wine list features labels

Locanda Altobelli
Traditional Cuisine

A pleasant little restaurant that differs from the many fish options in town with its traditional regional meat-based cuisine. There’s a real alchemy here between the young owner who is passionate about wine and the talented chef who boasts an impressive CV. Carefully chosen ingredients sourced directly from small local producers are the basis for its exciting, delicious dishes, while the wine list features some interesting organic wines. Small outdoor space for alfresco dining.
