This delightful little restaurant is nestled in the heart of the old town. Patrons appreciate the inviting interior and the extremely friendly service, not to mention the modern seasonal cuisine. The ingredients are sourced as locally as possible – the restaurant even has its dedicated producers: For example, they have a farmer grow vegetables specifically for them. One of the two set menus comprising four to eight courses is vegetarian. The combination of yoghurt, zucchini, black garlic and lemon oil is a particularly original and well-balanced dish. Exclusivity is a word that comes to mind when thinking about this small restaurant in the Fährhaus hotel: a prime location on the Moselle riverfront, an elegant, upscale interior accommodating only 20 diners. Four of these are at the Chef's Table in the open kitchen, which is visible from every corner. Right at the pass, the chefs welcome you with a first pre-dinner drink. The culinary reins are held by Yannick Noack, previously acclaimed for his work at PURS in Andernach. He serves up a modern and creative take on classic cuisine. Dishes such as Breton sole with Savoy cabbage, red pepper and

Culinary excellence is guaranteed at Hotel Stein, thanks to chef-patron Mike Schiller and his dishes based on high-quality ingredients. Available by pre-order with 24 hours' notice, the four-course surprise menu "PhantasTisch" showcases the chef’s passion for inventive plant-based cuisine, with the possibility of adding a fish or meat course. The wonderfully aromatic "vegetable essence" is always an optional extra. As an alternative to the set menu, there is an à la carte selection of French classics that boast impressive depth of flavour and character – standouts include the remarkably robust

The Buggle family has been running this traditional restaurant in the idyllic Lahn Valley since 1827 and chef Joachim Buggle represents the eighth generation to take the helm. He has brought in an impressive concept revolving around culinary classics, serving flavour-intensive, unpretentious dishes. Appetising examples include braised venison shoulder with house-made spaetzle, wild cranberries and glazed pointed cabbage, or grilled calamaretti with lemon risoni, green asparagus and a crustacean foam. Food is served from noon to 9pm Thu-Sun. There is a three-course lunch menu Thu-Sat. On certai

In the centre of the village, this half-timbered house dating from 1647 is a real gem. It is home to this restaurant run by Anita and Stefan Schleier with great dedication since 2001. The cosy atmosphere and traditional decor are as compelling as the ambitious Mediterranean cuisine based on carefully selected seasonal produce. Mouthwatering dishes include salmon with wild garlic risotto and melted tomatoes or "variation of veal with peas and carrots". There is also a well-curated wine list. The terrace in front of the old barn is another lovely feature. Tip for motorists: Public car park just
