This restaurant occupies the former family home of the German architect Ernst Zillers, who came to Athens to design some of its public buildings, fell in love with the city and remained here for the rest of his life. The building, which is situated next to the Greek Orthodox cathedral and has now been converted into a hotel (Zillers Boutique Hotel), boasts a rooftop terrace and multi-purpose Roof Garden with fine view of the cathedral and the Acropolis. The Zillers restaurant is only open in the evening and chef Vasilis Roussos offers two tasting menus: Synecdoche and Synthesis, both with crea

There are just a few restaurants capable of creating a connection between food, nature and a love of one’s country, but here chef Tasos Mantis manages to express his full passion for all three through his cooking. The experience starts with a presentation of the stars of the show here, namely the aromatic herbs used in Soil’s dishes, many of which are sourced from the vegetable garden tended by the chef’s father. The cuisine is highlighted on a single tasting menu which showcases creativity and quality, which can be enjoyed either at the chef’s table, in the bright lounge or in the pleasant wi

This new Nolan 2.0 version of the restaurant has chef Michalis Nourloglou in charge of the kitchen, where he follows the same concept and conjures up a combination of Greek cuisine with other dishes from around the world. The menu here is simple and concise, with options that include sea bream tartare, made with fresh fish of the day and served with dried fruits and a hint of citrus, and the mouthwatering shredded and breaded beef cheeks on a bed of cream along with a topping of truffles. A unique and special experience in which the chef does the cooking next to your table or at the wood-fired grill in front of you while you are seated at the counter. In addition, there’s also a bakery at the front of the establishment offering delicacies baked in ovens distributed around the room, that dispense their enticing aromas to add to the sensorial experience.
