The clean, minimalist design immediately catches the eye, as do the striking brick arches overhead. Seated at attractive solid wood tables in a pleasantly relaxed setting, diners have a clear view into the open kitchen – and they can see just how dedicated Fabian Günzel and his team are! The pared-down interior is reflected in the numerous modern and creative courses of the set menu. The wonderfully succulent charcoal-grilled Atlantic turbot is an excellent example of the emphasis placed on premium ingredients – delicately aromatic and perfectly seasoned, it is served alongside lightly sautéed

Sören Herzig's restaurant is located in the 15th district, on the ground floor of the historical Dorotheum-Fünfhaus (previously a pawnshop). In this listed building dating back to the 1920s, the dining space was once an auction hall and has a minimalist, industrial-style atmosphere that is reminiscent of a New York gallery – relaxed and distinctively stylish. Gorgeous hardwood flooring, comfortable designer chairs and artwork by the likes of Peter Jellitsch and Clemens Wolf underscore the tastefully chic interior. The spectacular rooftop terrace affords breathtaking views, making it an ideal s

Partners Stefan Doubek and Nora Pein offer a one-of-a-kind dining experience. The open kitchen is the beating heart of this restaurant and is the perfect stage for the chef-patron. Food is cooked using four fire sources, and every dish is crafted with meticulous precision and attention to detail, showcasing a distinctive identity with subtly integrated Japanese influences. Only the finest ingredients that the market has to offer are used. The dishes may appear simple at first glance, but they are the result of days or even months of preparation. A cool concept that attracts guests all day long. On Fridays, they serve up a cosy breakfast; Saturday is dedicated to the "Rosi Brunch Club", with a menu that changes every week; on Thursday and Friday lunchtimes, there is an affordable daily special. In the evening from Wednesday to Saturday, sharing is the name of the game. The interesting menu includes a surprise "Chef's Choice" (if ordered by the whole table), otherwise, you can make your own choice of delicious, modern and creative dishes to share (eg wild broccoli, grilled over charcoal, with kimchi hollandaise). Close to the Mariahilfer Straße shopping drag, on the seventh floor of the chic MOTTO boutique hotel, this restaurant has really distinctive architecture. The tasteful upscale interior will appeal to diners, as will the pleasantly lounge-like atmosphere, complemented by an interesting bar. The food is straightforward and unpretentious. Try one of their "all-time classics" such as bouillabaisse or steak tartare. Or perhaps coq au vin rouge, followed by crème brûlée?
