Review

Guest scores & sentiment

From 75 guest reviews · multi-source · as of 2026-07-21

Guests consistently praise the rustic wooden atmosphere, stunning natural views, friendly staff, and hearty local meals. The main drawbacks stem from the historic building: wooden floors cause noise and poor soundproofing, some rooms lack electrical outlets, and shared bathrooms or outdated door locks are noted. Overall, the stay offers an authentic, nature-focused experience that outweighs minor inconveniences.

At Alpenblick two exciting dining options await: there is the lively bistro, where you can tuck into down-to-earth dishes such as steak tartare or Wiener schnitzel, or separated by a curtain is Stuba with its exceptionally ambitious fine dining menu. Comprising four to six courses, it comes in omnivore and vegetarian versions. Chef-patron Björn Inniger serves up cosmopolitan modern cuisine, sourcing many ingredients from the region. His dishes feature subtle nuances, bold contrasts, and they are packed with flavour. The timelessly elegant yet cosy setting and the enjoyably laid-back and attent

In the Lenkerhof spa resort's elegant restaurant, hotel patrons who opt into the "Gourmet Package" can look forward to an appealing half-board set menu, while others, including external guests are treated to a high-quality and modern take on classic cuisine that also draws on international influences. Pick four to six dishes from a selection of 15 to create your own menu. The excellent wine list spans sizes from half bottles to magnums. Friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff. The best view of the mountains and valley can be enjoyed from the light and airy conservatory – and, of course, from the

This hotel's bistro may be cheaper than its upscale restaurant, Stuba, but the food is nonetheless tasty and fresh. Whether you come for lunch or dinner, the no-frills market-inspired cooking won't break the bank. They are keen to use produce from the region, in dishes such as "Hüttler's hamburger" or house speciality "Dad's steak tartare". Another of their classics is the spicy Thai red curry, which has just the right amount of heat! In keeping with the Alpenblick style, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, and the service charming and attentive. In summer, the covered terrace in front of the

A semi-circular façade of bay windows commands a panoramic view of the Swiss Alps that will take your breath away. The delicate, high-flying repertory merges top-drawer Swiss produce, including delicacies from the bountiful local countryside, with pedigree Gallic recipes that have been treated to an international spin (Simmental veal, Belgian endive, miso, ponzu, kumquat). At the helm, chef Yannick Crepaux (who trained with Guy Martin and Christian Constant) continues to uphold the house philosophy, to the delight of the regulars! A modern, stylish vibe, depicted by high-quality fixtures and fittings and a profusion of wood and stone, sets the Alpine scene. The quality of the ingredients is equally superlative and chef Franck Reynaud reverently respects the seasons. His classical recipes with a modern twist are rolled out in a discovery menu of 5 to 8 courses and served by a polished front-of-house team. Enticing list of Valais wines. Treat yourself to a night (or two) in the Hostellerie du Pas de l’Ours, as stylish and cosy as the restaurant.

Diners will feel right at home in this charming and inviting restaurant. Set in a former bell foundry, the atmosphere is welcoming and delightfully down to earth. The blend of rustic and modern styles is interesting, and the art on the walls is sure to draw the eye. You can look forward to very friendly and attentive service, as well as pared-down and exceedingly flavourful dishes prepared by owner Nik Buchs. Popular choices here include true classics such as entrecôte or veal cutlet. The extensive wine list also includes organic and biodynamic wines. In summer, the terrace is a wonderful plac

This welcoming, zen-inspired establishment with a panoramic terrace at the foot of the mountains invites you to sample authentic Japanese fare.
