A Casa do Porco
Pork, Brazilian · Bib
$$
If you're looking to savour pork like nowhere else on earth… this is the place! Here, chef Jefferson Rueda — who oversees the rearing of the pigs and the growing of most of the vegetables used in the restaurant — revives timeless flavours through technically sophisticated dishes. In an informal, relaxed, and rather lively space with an open kitchen, you'll find the option to order à la carte or to go for the tasting menu: D.O.C. (Denominação de Origem Caipira), which brings traditional rural Brazilian cooking into the contemporary age, weaving together classic dishes and more gastronomic small

Renowned chef Bel Coelho is known for her commitment to healthy food, the use of native ingredients and the preservation of Brazil’s varied food cultures. In this casual and welcoming restaurant shared with the Livraria Megafauna bookshop in the iconic Copan building, guests can enjoy all-day dining between the bookshelves, in front of the kitchen or in the open-air dining space, with options varying between toasted sandwiches and “pão de queijo” to “baião de dois” (black-eyed peas with rice). Dishes you won’t want to pass up include the appetising squid tempura with tapioca and caju ponzu, an

Located in the heart of the city, at an unusual address on the sixth floor overlooking the Minhocão, this restaurant has become one of the most popular in the São Paulo capital. The kitchen, led by Argentine chef Pablo Inca, seeks to “share experiences connected to the land for an urban experience” and offers a short menu designed for sharing, constantly changing depending on the availability of the best ingredients. To start, order the star dish: Tortilla de lula, squid tortilla, with lightly spicy coalhada and finished with coriander. Then try the unmissable Coração de pato, duck heart, serv

Terraço NOTIÊ
Brazilian, Modern Cuisine
$$$
Although only recently opened, this restaurant is already being talked about by the city’s foodie community. Located on the rooftop of the Shopping Light building, its design comes as a pleasant surprise as soon as you walk through the door thanks to its decor of yellow tones, glass-fronted kitchen enabling guests to watch the chefs hard at work and, first and foremost, the 18m panel on the ceiling depicting images of nature. At the helm in the kitchen is Paraíba-born chef Onildo Rocha who impresses with his use of typical Brazilian ingredients and combinations that result in intense and strik

Bar da Dona Onça
brazilian

Ideally situated in the historic heart of São Paulo — more precisely, on the ground floor of the Edifício Copan, an iconic wave-shaped skyscraper designed by the celebrated Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer — this is a buzzing, unpretentious, and enormously popular restaurant; so much so that queuing at the door for a table is entirely the norm. The culinary concept, under the direction of chef Janaína Torres (recognised as one of the most important and influential chefs in the world), celebrates the flavours of Brazil's interior through a wonderfully broad menu spanning all manner of dishes

Ama.zo - Cozinha Peruana
Peruvian, Farm to table

This restaurant occupies the charming garden of an old property known as the Casa da Don'Anna, a 20C house with a strong coffee legacy. The ambience here is delightful, protected by the vagaries of the weather by an almost invisible roof, and features large jabuticabeira trees, tables laid out in the garden, and a semi-open kitchen to the rear. Here, Peruvian chef Enrique Paredes conjures up Andean cuisine that is reinterpreted through the use of local ingredients, strong flavours, pleasant textures and subtle nuances from the Amazon region. Among the starters, the fresh oysters with a Japanes

Bicol Korean Cuisine

Bicol is a must if you’re keen to try Korean barbecue-style cuisine. This classic address in the Liberdade district of the city has been run by a South Korean family for three generations. In this spacious restaurant, the tables have their own grills so that guests can cook meat (usually cut super-fine) to their individual taste. Dishes for sharing are the mainstay here, including the Burgogui, Garbi and Samguiopsar combos, as well as cuts of pure national Wagyu beef, always accompanied by Banchan (small side dishes of the day). The Bibimbap (a typical rice dish), soups, or classic dishes such
