Manon Schenck, who is nothing if not spunky, focuses mainly on fish and shellfish, with a weakness for lobster, in a region of Belgium that is renowned for its game! Her seafood score is strongly influenced by Alsace, her place of birth, by Brittany, where she worked for a long time and by her country of adoption, the Belgian Ardennes. Heart-warming food and service in a tasteful contemporary interior. Heaven for foodies! Manon has grown in confidence and daring. Her close ties with Brittany fishermen ensure the premium quality and freshness of her ingredients. In addition to the seasonal menu

It is always a pleasure to stroll around the picturesque small town of Durbuy. In their establishment, which also has a few guestrooms, Koen and Laurence immediately put you at ease by the warmth of their welcome. Skill, tranquillity and pleasure are the watchwords in the open-plan kitchen. While the chef clearly draws on his traditional background, he is far from averse to adding a modern spin to a patriotic lineup. Talented Wout Bru is at the helm of this chic BBQ restaurant in the heart of Durbuy. The stylish outer walls reveal a dark, inviting interior whose centrepieces are an imposing bar and a dry-ageing fridge. Unsurprisingly, prime beef, such as wagyu and other premium breeds, is the establishment’s raison d’être. Superlatively barbecued, the meat is served with knockout sauces and large portions of side dishes that each diner chooses themselves. There are a few fish courses on the menu, but this is really a place for meat eaters. First-class craftsmanship and lashings of respect for the produce.
