Alongside time-honoured classics such as Wiener schnitzel of veal with fried potatoes and cranberries or Zwiebelrostbraten (braised beef with onions and gravy) with cheese spaetzle and a rosemary and thyme jus, the kitchen also turns out more contemporary dishes: "Black salsify soup, beetroot, cream cheese, parsley" or "Zander, cucumber, mustard, dill". The Schuster family's country inn is thoroughly charming! This is primarily down to the warm hospitality extended by the lady of the house, and the tasteful interior design. And then there are the chef-patron's seasonally influenced classic dishes such as pike-perch sausage accompanied by creamed sauerkraut with dates, or venison with nuts, black walnut sauce, cranberries and Savoy cabbage. Individual courses from each of the two set menus ("Tradition" and "Genusswerk") can be ordered à la carte. Decent wine selection with good options available by the glass.
