Casadelmar
Modern Cuisine · ★★ Michelin
€€€€
Here in Porto Vecchio, everything revolves around the sea. The ancient Genoese city fought off the onslaught of barbarian invasions and is a symbol of pride for Corsicans. Another source of pride is this restaurant: a mecca for lovers of seafood. Don't be distracted by the enchanting view of the bay, nor by the location of this superb hotel – it is on the plate that the most remarkable things happen! Chef Fabio Bragagnolo's cooking is inspired by both Corsica and Italy, as can be seen in his John Dory confit in olive oil with red lentils, burrata and tomato water emulsion. Masterful from start

Don Cesar
Modern Cuisine, Mediterranean Cuisine
€€€€
The restaurant of the Don Cesar Hotel is certainly not lacking in charm with its luxurious, refined interior and large bay windows giving onto the terrace. The meticulously prepared and flavoursome food lies at the crossroads of French and Italian cuisine, and gives seafood pride of place, but also serves a wide range of dishes based on pasta made on site!

La Plage Casadelmar
Italian
€€€
On the Benedettu peninsula, tucked away in the vegetation by the beach, this contemporary haven is the younger sibling of Casadelmar – its "casual" beachfront version. Everything happens on the terrace looking out to the Gulf of Porto Vecchio from beneath driftwood pergolas that blend into the landscape. In this divine setting, select your dishes from a menu of refined brasserie cuisine with Italian influences: vitello tonnato, tuna crudo, fritto misto, grilled lobster, appetising pasta dishes and fresh salads. The classic desserts absolutely do the job: profiteroles, tiramisu, lemon meringue

La Table de Mina
Modern Cuisine, Creative
€€€
From your comfortable vantage point beneath a tiled roof by the pool, savour the view of the sweet-scented scrubland and the sea. The repertory, which displays a distinctly modern Mediterranean slant, stars Corsican produce: premium cured meats; local veal in olives with creamy polenta; lemon-flavoured Corsican cheesecake (fiadone). The concise menu is comprised of seasonal ingredients. A single set menu on Tuesdays features island specialties.

U Santa Marina
Modern Cuisine
€€€€
Idyllically located on the seafront, the view of the Gulf of Santa Giulia is superb, and, come evening, the sunset is to die for! The flavoursome score shines the spotlight on local produce: green asparagus and vuletta, seasoning of Corsican fruit, parmesan and nasturtiums; locally-caught, barbecued langoustine, medley of artichokes and a meaty gravy; rum and lime baba… The quintessence of romantic fine dining.

La Pinède
Modern Cuisine
€€€€
Whether for a relaxed lunch by the beach or dinner beneath the arbour, the intimate and romantic setting is utterly magnificent. The simple and delicious Mediterranean cuisine is a celebration of local ingredients. Herbs and vegetables from the 3 000m2 organic kitchen garden are often incorporated. And let's not forget the maturing cellar for cheeses and the enticing wine list.

Before setting up shop in San Ciprianu, Italian-born chef Sébastien Salamon clocked up stints in some top establishments (Guy Savoy, Le V). The technical brilliance and precise seasoning on display in his spider crab cappelletti, in particular, are testament to this experience. The grilled escalope of foie gras with flaky brioche and cherry tartare is a real treat. With direct links to the terroir (local fish, Bonifacio market gardens, Corsican veal), the short menu features absolutely top-notch contemporary cuisine – to be savoured in the magnificent setting of a spacious, light-filled verand
