Alpine, Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

This restaurant has just a few tables amid a decor of elegantly recycled old wood, while a large window offers views of the stunning Ampezzo Dolomites outside. Your meal starts in a memorable way: waiters file into the dining room carrying mountains of creamy butter, which is served to every table accompanied by excellent bread with an incomparable texture. Owner-chef Riccardo Gaspari makes careful use of home-produced and regional ingredients, creating delicious cuisine in which mountain traditions are refreshed with modern touches, most noticeably visible in the desserts which are made witho

This restaurant occupies an attractive Alpine house outside the town centre on the road to the Falzarego pass and at the foot of the Tofane mountains. Here, the chef shows himself to be completely at ease with both traditional cuisine and more creative fare. Using top-quality ingredients from this mountainous region, as well as fresh fish sourced daily from the markets at Venice and Chioggia, owner Graziano Prest creates delicious dishes full of generous flavours. Wine is another of his passions, hence the top-quality labels, historic vintages and renowned French bottles that can be found in t

If SanBrite boasts a collection of Michelin stars (a classic star for its cuisine and a green star for its sustainable approach), it’s also thanks to this agriturismo’s location in a small larch wood, where it is surrounded by the spectacular Dolomites. Opened 20 years ago and renovated over the years, this smart agriturismo is also home to a stable annexe, where its restaurant celebrates the flavours of Alpine culinary traditions in its meat and charcuterie, cheeses, creamy butter and ice cream, as well as herbs, berries and other local ingredients.

Al Camin

On the road to Misurina lake, this friendly restaurant with a modern Alpine style offers dishes of the regional tradition with imaginative touches and modern technique. So a great deal of practicality, then, as in the beef tenderloin wrapped in speck dry-cured pork with cep mushrooms and Ampezzo-style potatoes. The chef and sommelier Fabio Pompanin manages a wine list with approximately 200 labels. In the warmer season, take advantage of the open-air service.

Alajmo Cortina

Contemporary, Alpine

€€€€

Situated in the restored premises of the historic El Toulà restaurant, Alajmo Cortina is home to a bar on the ground floor, with the restaurant occupying the two upper floors (no lift). Although traditional in feel with a profusion of wood, the restaurant is run by a young and enthusiastic team. The cuisine focuses mainly on the region, although the menu also features fish and other imaginative options on tasting menus and an à la carte.

Ristorante de LEN

Regional Cuisine

€€

Just a stone’s throw from the central and very busy Corso Italia, this restaurant has an elegant Alpine feel. Here, subtle lighting, soft background music and larch wood cladding on the walls create an ambience with an attractive blend of the modern and traditional. The cuisine takes inspiration from the local region, with specialities interpreted with a contemporary twist, including a focus on vegetable- and cheese-based dishes such as the excellent “fonduta di Saporito d'alpeggio” (fondue).

Baita Fraina

Country cooking, Classic Cuisine

Warm little bar rooms, reminiscent of the German wine bars or "Stube", a summer terrace and well - prepared regional dishes: for those who want to escape the mundane life of Cortina for the silence of an isolated "baita" [mountain hut]. Delightful rooms, colourfully furnished in warm tones so you can better enjoy the silence and scents of the mountains.
