BODENDORF'S

Modern French, Seasonal Cuisine · ★ Michelin

€€€€

The fine dining restaurant of the gorgeous Landhaus Stricker proposes a fun culinary experience that comes courtesy of the team led by Holger Bodendorf and Denis Brühl. Meticulous work goes into preparing a set menu comprising clearly structured dishes based on classical foundations. Top-notch ingredients are used to create delectable combinations such as Breton cod with an intense nut butter foam, or US prime beef onglet with an exquisite peppery jus. The restaurant itself is impressive, too, with its fresh, modern design – a chic backdrop for the friendly young front-of-house team, who provi

You would be hard pressed to find a better location. When you ring the bell, the white gate opens and a cobbled driveway leads you to the beautiful thatch-roofed country house, which is enthroned on a dune at the edge of Rantum – sensational views of the North Sea guaranteed! The upscale interior is decked out in a Nordic style that combines elegance and cosiness; the charming and professional service does the rest, including excellent wine recommendations from restaurant manager and sommelière Bärbel Ring. Take a peek into the kitchen, where Jan-Philipp Berner's team puts together a creative

This restaurant is located in Severin's Resort & Spa, where guests can enjoy a stay in pleasantly understated luxury. In summer, take an aperitif on the quiet, leafy terrace behind the building, before heading inside to the upscale, stylish modern dining space to savour René Verse's culinary creations, which are crafted with precision and feel delightfully effortless. Nils Henkel, after whom this place is named, has clearly put his own stamp on the menu. His vegetable-centric cuisine, with which he made a name for himself once upon a time, is skilfully integrated here, including in both set me

This historical thatched-roof house in the heart of Keitum has bags of charm. Inside, diners enjoy an appealing modern take on Frisian decor; outside the gorgeous garden terrace beckons. The friendly front-of-house team provides pleasingly informal but professional service. The concept is dubbed "Heimatküche" – an ambitious blend of traditional and modern styles. A crowd favourite is the madras currywurst. Shorter menu at lunchtime followed by tempting coffee and cake options until 5pm. Tip: Be sure to book (only possible for the evening). The restaurant’s name pays tribute to the chef's grand
