Would you like to experience a distinctive culinary journey? Book a table at Aiô now. Here, the proposal is based on Taiwanese cuisine with international touches that take you on a journey through surprising flavours. Set on the same street as its sister restaurant, Mapu, the establishment features a characteristic glass façade and, inside, a bar at the entrance offering an intriguing variety of drinks: signature, re‑imagined and even Taiwanese‑inspired. The menu is straightforward and makes no distinction between starters and mains, which allows for sharing or opting for an individual tasting

AE! Cozinha was born from a desire to transform gastronomy into a true sensory narrative, uniting technical rigour and heartfelt cooking in every dish. With a keen eye for identity and harmony, the concept blends contemporary references with cherished food memories, resulting in fresh creations and boldly defined flavours. Set in a spacious room flooded with natural light, the seasonal menu champions quality ingredients and well-balanced combinations. Our recommendation? Among the starters, the house classic — a creamy pastel, a crispy fried pastry parcel, filled with Lua Cheia cheese — and, f

Kinoshita

Located in the quieter Vila Nova Conceição neighbourhood, next to the extensive Parque do Ibirapuera, Kinoshita is one of the most prestigious restaurants in São Paulo as it was a trail-blazer in bringing authentic “kappo” cuisine (“kappo” simply means “to cut and to cook” and is one of the purest forms of Japanese cuisine, to the extent that its chefs are considered true artisans requiring a minimum of 15 years of training) to the city. This attractive eatery, with its exotic feel and lots of greenery on display, features several dining rooms that lead to the main room with a counter around t

A small Japanese restaurant that attracts customers from around the world. Discreet and simple in appearance, it also has a somewhat surprising location in a modest shopping centre. It is slightly reminiscent of the more authentic restaurants found in Tokyo (with just a chef, a counter, a rice cooker and a chopping board) and could almost pass unnoticed if you’re not looking out for it. Working alone, chef Keisuke Egashira bases the dining experience on the quality of the ingredients (grouper, tuna belly, squid, red snapper, Japanese amberjack etc), preparing sushi and sashimi with impressive

This restaurant has risen like a phoenix with a renovated look that retains its minimalist Japanese essence that connects us with nature. The main focus here is the dining counter (with seating for just eight guests) where the Omakase menu is the star of the show. The counter is complemented by a couple of tables that can serve another 10 customers, and where you can also choose between the tasting and à la carte menus. Chef Edson Yamashita is a master of the Omakase style, showcasing his incredibly precise cutting and slicing skills in front of our eyes (the sushi sequence is a spectacle in i

If you are looking for authentic Brazilian home-style cooking — crafted with quality ingredients — this is the perfect place! Jiquitaia occupies a charming 1950s house surrounded by lush greenery. Inside, a spacious dining room awaits, elegantly decorated with an abundance of warm wood and large-format photographs displayed along the walls. Paranaense chef Marcelo Corrêa Bastos delights us with heartfelt traditional cooking, the kind that nourishes the soul and warms the heart. During the week, there is a carefully crafted set lunch menu, alongside a shorter menu featuring delights such as Cox

A unique gastronomic proposal presented by Alex Atala, Brazil’s most internationally renowned chef, shows that, even immersed in various projects, he always has something to say. The experience takes shape in a single tasting menu inspired by the jaguar, the largest feline in the Americas, portrayed through the menu: “Quando a onça bebe água” [When the jaguar drinks water] (also available in a vegetarian version). The proposal transports us through the flavours of the country’s great natural areas, with a succession of little‑known ingredients (priprioca roots, yam, ants, jambu [Acmella], tucu

A truly unique experience? Here, just a stone's throw from the Museu da Casa Brasileira (MCB), something truly extraordinary awaits — Tuju occupies an elegant three-storey building devoted entirely to culinary pleasure. The main entrance is on the ground floor, where the experience begins with small canapés and where the wine cellar and an interior garden are also to be found; the second floor houses the dining room, arranged around a large open kitchen surrounded by tables, whilst the third floor is home to a sweeping bar with panoramic views.
