Zum Simonbräu

German

€€

A down-to-earth pub, just the way we like them! Part of the Bitburger Brewery, this place has an attractive decor of solid wooden tables (no tablecloths here!), walls decorated with pictures, and modern details that foster a pleasantly lively atmosphere. The charming team serves home-style regional dishes, as well as more sophisticated options. Cordon bleu with Eifelschwein pork and "Ōra King salmon – tartare & fried" whet the appetite. The inexpensive dish of the day is popular with the lunchtime crowd. You can also spend the night in one of the spruce guestrooms.

Brimer

Traditional Cuisine

€€€

Fancy a slap-up meal that won’t break the bank? The Brimers deliver just that – and with flair! Their magic formula: know-how, generosity and flavour. The chef works solely with premium produce, a passion he shares with his better half, who has a knack for foraging the tastiest mushrooms. Diners return again and again for familiar dishes like melt-in-the-mouth tenderloin served rare with a powerful pepper sauce, crunchy fries and subtle veggie sides. A feel-good, homely vibe reigns throughout this traditional hotel-restaurant.

Schloss Niederweis

Classic Cuisine

€€

This tasteful restaurant is housed in the converted corn barn of a magnificent Baroque castle dating from 1751. The decor is a fascinating blend of rustic cachet and modern design – the open truss roof is striking and the two historical carriages on the wall are certainly eye-catching! Sample the flavoursome dishes à la carte or as a set menu, washed down by your choice from the terrific wine list that includes rare finds, including by the glass. Charming garden, a banquet hall and a registry office. On a practical note: easy parking.
