Alle Codole

Country cooking, Modern Cuisine

€€

‘Codole’ is the nickname of the family that runs this restaurant and whose ancestors once worked in the copper mines in the area. Today, the family has exchanged mining for cooking, offering guests specialities such as ricotta and black truffle ravioli with a lamb ragù, and loin of venison in a porcini mushroom crust.

Rifugio Fuciade

Regional Cuisine, Alpine

€€

To give you an idea of the Alpine location of this restaurant framed by the Costabella mountain chain, suffice it to say that for centuries it was used for mountain pasture. There’s a breathtaking view of the Dolomites which extend into the distance as far as Pale di San Martino, while the menu here focuses on regional recipes such as canderli dumplings on a bed of cabbage, veal stew with polenta and chanterelle mushrooms, and polenta gnocchetti with herb pesto, smoked ricotta and lemon thyme. The wine cellar is home to more than 600 labels, plus accommodation is available in a choice of tranq

InAlto Alfio Ghezzi Dolomites

Regional Cuisine, Traditional Cuisine

€€€

At Col Margherita, perched at 2,550 meters and accessible by cable car in winter (departing from Moena via Passo San Pellegrino), a new ski bar bears the signature of Alfio Ghezzi. The menu favors Alpine traditions, though a more elaborate, creative selection showcases several not-to-be-missed dishes from the chef. In warmer months, the venue is also reachable on foot or − for the more athletic − by bicycle (two charging stations available for e-bikes).
