A family run hotel that has a long tradition in providing good food and quality service. It was established in 1864 by the Straand family and is currently managed by its 5th generation. Set in the middle of the beautiful region of Telemark, next to Lake Nisser and offering a large variety of activities - from vintage boat cruises to horseback rides from the resorts very own horse riding centre, to skiing and hiking when the weather permits. Once done with the outdoor activities all guests can embark on the spa and wellness centre - relax in the sauna or enjoy a massage. Traditions are important for this hotel, which can be sensed by the combination of the old drawing room with its open fireplace and the brand new conference and banqueting facilities. The main restaurant is highly recommended due to the special culinary experience it provides to all its guests.
