Le Petit Bellevue

Italian Contemporary, Cuisine from the Aosta Valley · ★ Michelin

€€€€

This is an exquisite gem within one of the region's most renowned and romantic hotels, the Bellevue Hotel & Spa, holder of two Michelin keys. With just five tables, two of which overlook the valley ending spectacularly with Gran Paradiso, Tuscan chef Niccolò de Riu celebrates the Valle d'Aosta in his kitchen with very few deviations, char and roe deer being excellent examples. Following the savoury part of the meal and preceding the talented pastry chef, Roberto from Bergamo will challenge your resistance with an excellent cheese cart, featuring mainly regional cheeses. Dinner will be overseen

Bar à Fromage

Cuisine from the Aosta Valley, Classic Cuisine

A cosy, elegant Stube-style restaurant where the staff wear typical Aosta Valley costume and the menu features dishes with a particular focus on cheese (including an excellent fondue!) alongside traditional regional fare. Typical decor with refined, personalised furnishings and a profusion of wood.

The name of this elegant restaurant was inspired by its wooden ceiling. Surrounded by spruce decor dating from the 18C, antique furniture and paintings, enjoy interesting traditional cuisine in this excellent gourmet restaurant, which is all the more attractive thanks to its location in the Gran Paradiso national park.

Paolo Griffa al Caffè Nazionale

Creative, Italian Contemporary · ★ Michelin

€€€€

A historic city restaurant, overlooking Aosta's main square, has been brought back to life by the passion of young chef Paolo Griffa. It offers colourful, balanced and contemporary cuisine, available in 3, 5 or 7-course tasting menus. Always attentive to the harmony of flavours and chromatic beauty of dishes, the chef demonstrates a growing skill in handling vegetables, as evidenced by the vegetarian dishes always on the menu. The service is of an excellent standard and the wine offerings of great depth. Of course, as the name suggests, some spaces are dedicated to excellent coffee, equipped w

Vecchio Ristoro

Cuisine from the Aosta Valley, Contemporary · ★ Michelin

€€€€

Despite its central location and elegant ambience, this former 17C mill, which has retained its old wheel and millstone in the dining room, has the feel of the open mountains. The excellent service here is overseen by Paolo Bariani, one of the partners, who is also responsible for the 300 or so wines in the cellar. The wine list features a careful balance of famous names and small wineries, with wines also available by the glass. The second partner, chef Filippo Oggioni, is at the helm in the kitchen, where he skilfully showcases the flavours and traditions of the Aosta valley with a modern tw

This restaurant is situated in an alleyway in the historic centre of Aoste. Full of character and accessed via a staircase from the entrance hall, the dining room is housed in what were probably the palazzo’s 18C stables.
