(Currently closed for renovations) If creative cuisine that showcases the island’s culinary history appeals to you, this restaurant located at the luxury Villa Cortés hotel is a must. It is overseen by chef Diego Schattenhofer (an Argentinian chef who has spent the past two decades in the Canary Islands). A simple restaurant a stone's throw from the beach, serving Peruvian cuisine with a Mediterranean touch that is centred around products sourced from the local market. You can choose to order à la carte (there are wok-chifa and grilled dishes) or let yourself be guided by one of their tasting menus ('Al Toque' and 'Karu Kay'). Recommendations? Be sure to try their Tiraditos, the Arequipa-style Shrimp Chupe, and for dessert, their delicious Lucuma soup.

Chef Alejandro Bello is the heart and soul of this restaurant, part of the Green Garden Eco Resort and surrounded by verdant golf courses. His cuisine is focused around a reasonably extensive à la carte featuring great classics such steak tartare and sirloin steak Pedro Ximénez, various rice options (for two people), innovative, locally inspired recipes, and even a section which pays homage to his mother Rosario, such as the “Ropa Vieja” goat stew and rabbit empanadillas with salmorejo.
