In a town such as Hervás that is so popular with tourists, it is always encouraging to find a restaurant like this offering contemporary dining but without completely sidelining traditional cuisine. Located along a pedestrianised street in the centre of town, it boasts a summer terrace, a bar counter, and a dining room on two floors. If the prospect of a short food-themed country break appeals to you, this restaurant in the north of Cáceres province is the perfect destination. A unique restaurant in a beautiful natural setting within the walls of an authentic castle. Its traditional à la carte showcases a contemporary touch in signature recipes such as the traditional mashed potato dish known as “revolconas” served with pork tongue, fried bacon and green peppers, and the delicious “Charra veal” oxtail meatballs stuffed with chestnuts. A daily menu is also available midweek between October and June. Take advantage of your visit to explore the local interpretation centre on medieval and monastic life.
