The guesthouse is conveniently located in Thamel, which is the heart and soul of the city centre, a collection of narrow streets bursting with hotels, shops and restaurants. The hotel is within walking distance to the Royal Palace, embassies, airline offices, numerous popular restaurants and pubs, Kathmandu Durbar Square and domestic bus terminals. The hotel is approximately 15 minutes from the airport. The budget guesthouse was a former Rana mansion which was converted into a hotel by Karna Sakya in 1967, but still retains a deep ingrained memory and an opportunity to reminisce, times to cherish, and a secret to smile over. Guests are offered a range of massage and spa treatments as well as beauty services. The guestouse offers a comfortable and convenient environment that welcomes all guests and is the ideal setting for a pleasant stay in Kathmandu at a reasonable price.
