O Grove is a peninsula with stunning coves of fine white sand that overlooks the entrance to the Arousa estuary dotted with shellfish beds. This is the setting for Culler de Pau, in a valley full of cornfields and small orchards, where chef Javier Olleros has his family home and where he runs this business with his wife Amaranta Rodríguez, with an ethos that is underpinned by concerns about issues such as obesity, the climate crisis and the fast food culture. Located close to Praia da Lanzada, a popular local beach. In this family-owned restaurant run by a friendly couple who live on the floor upstairs, everything revolves around the open grill and top-quality ingredients, from the best cuts of Galician meat to fish from the local auction and a variety of seafood. We can definitely recommend the daily specials that do not feature on the menu.

D'Berto

Seafood, Galician

€€€

At D’Berto, you’ll experience the full potential and expression of the local estuary’s produce. For those for whom scale is of little importance, this is definitely the place, where you can enjoy a truly surprising array of fish and seafood accompanied by excellent service. Perfectly cooked grilled dishes and stews are more important here than technique, though the latter is certainly not lacking. Options include an array of shellfish and several classic dishes such as the pan-fried lobster and the spider crab. Don't miss out on seasonal cockles!

€€

The beach reference in the restaurant name doesn’t disappoint, given the stunning location of this gourmet “chiringuito” between the beaches of Seixeliño and Area da Cruz. Attractively furnished, it boasts superb sea views including the island of Ons on the horizon. Its cuisine, which can be enjoyed in the glass-fronted dining room or on its delightful terraces, focuses on traditional cooking with a modern touch, including some dishes cooked on the on the open grill, plus a section of the menu dedicated to rice and fideuá options.
