The B&B Le Fumarole is located in an exclusive villa in the hills of Mount Vesuvius volcanic area, with spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples. Just a stone’s throw from the seafront promenade, this friendly, colourful restaurant serves delicious, carefully prepared fish and meat dishes inspired by the traditions of Campania yet reinterpreted with a touch of imagination and character by skilful owner-chef Nunzio Spagnuolo. Our inspector’s favourite dish was the ravioli alla caprese with three types of tomato, provolone del Monaco cheese and basil-infused olive oil.

In an elegant setting facing the harbour and the sea, the dining room at this restaurant is a terrace with large picture windows boasting beautiful views that also include Capri. The sea takes pride of place on the menu, which features fresh fish and plenty of local produce in the cuisine served here. Don’t miss the raw fish options, which include a selection of oysters, tartares and ceviche. Our inspector particularly enjoyed the roll of sea bass stuffed with spinach, fior di latte, beurre blanc sauce, parsley oil and onions.
