Set against a beautiful mountain backdrop, this establishment is run with great dedication by brothers Matthias and Lars Michel – Matthias manages the hotel, which boasts comfortable, tastefully designed rooms, and Lars is the restaurant's charming maître d'. In the kitchen, Aurélien Mettler and his team conjure up the ambitious, modern, seasonal "Chef's Choice" set menu, which comprises four to six courses. They place great importance on using regional ingredients. If you would like a vegetarian version, it is best to specify this when making your reservation. In addition to the well-curated

The fine dining restaurant of the Hotel Belvedere welcomes diners in a compact space with just six tables. In the kitchen, Hungarian chef Dávid Imre Rózsa runs the show. His technically modern and pleasingly pared-back style conveys emotions through its flavours, coming into its own in dishes such as dry-aged pike perch with Oscietra caviar from Frutigen – this also exemplifies the firm focus on using local seasonal produce, some of which they collect and plant themselves. Vegetarian dishes are the backbone of the menu, with one of the two set menus being completely vegetarian. There is a good

Modern chic with an Alpine touch: Done out in warm tones, with lovely hardwood floors, striking designer lamps and an open kitchen complete with an impressive charcoal grill, this restaurant – part of the equally attractive Bergwelt Grindelwald hotel – has a truly unique atmosphere. The cuisine, inspired by the region, is also very appealing. For meat lovers, the fragrant, golden-brown Wiener schnitzel is sure to whet the appetite, and the same goes for the top-quality signature cuts from the barbecue. Vegetarian options are also available. The well-curated wine list predominantly features Swi

This is the fine dining restaurant of the long-established Hotel Schweizerhof. The small space is inviting, with an elegant and cosy feel, and service is provided by a friendly and attentive team. The dishes are rooted in classic cuisine and draw on modern influences and the seasons. The six-course set menu is predominantly made up of regional ingredients. A vegetarian version is also available upon advance request. N.B. The set menu price is to be paid in advance. In the hotel garden, there is a sun terrace and a bar.

What a great location right in front of the Eiger North Face! The fine dining restaurant of the chic boutique hotel (also called Glacier) makes the most of its surroundings with a floor-to-ceiling window front – and a wonderful terrace with a magical view. The dishes are based on select regional ingredients: you can either opt for the set menu or go à la carte, and sharing is also possible. The set menu is accompanied by harmonious wine pairings from the 320-year-old wine cellar, which is home to some 500 labels, over 200 of which are available by the glass.
