This restaurant housed within the elegant Villa Franca hotel in the upper part of Positano boasts a small, bright dining room with distinctive black marble tables (just seven of them!), a glass ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows that open in summer to create an outdoor dining space. The beautiful view looks out to sea and Li Galli, the island after which the restaurant is named. Following the end of the restaurant’s partnership with Nino Di Costanzo, chef Savio Perna (originally from Torre del Greco) now steps into the spotlight on his own. He takes his inspiration mainly from the local regi

The legendary San Pietro hotel is one of the world's most celebrated, the jewel of Positano and the Amalfi Coast. Within its illustrious walls lies this restaurant whose tremendous success (book considerably in advance is advised), aside from its undoubtedly enchanting location, owes much to the expertise of Belgian Chef Alois Vanlangenaeker, who has been here for over 20 years. His cuisine harmoniously and elegantly narrates the strength, fragrances, and flavours of the Mediterranean, primarily using the Campanian language that remains pure in tradition as the meal begins with a freshly baked

Da Vincenzo

It's never easy to find the right balance between quality and quantity, especially in a town that is very much on the tourist trail. However, Da Vincenzo has succeeded in doing just this for years, ever since it was first opened by the family’s grandfather Vincenzo in 1958. Today, the founder’s grandson (who shares his grandfather’s name) is at the helm here, creating dishes which focus mainly on fish. Pleasant atmosphere, with a few small tables on the pavement of the street that runs through the centre of Positano. A choice of cocktails supplements the wine selection from lunchtime onwards.

An atmospheric panoramic lift leads from the Casa Angelina hotel to the restaurant: in good weather you can dine on a terrace, by candlelight and with a breathtaking view of the Coast. Leopoldo Elefante's cuisine is Mediterranean and largely dedicated to the sea, although there is never a shortage of excellent meat specialities. Not to be missed is his “soufflé alla pastiera”, a signature dish that combines an international dessert with typically Neapolitan flavours. Great care is given to presentation and the lighting uses various colours to accompany the guest through the different courses,

This restaurant is an intimate and deeply personal narrative, inseparably bound to the life story of chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo. It stands on the ground of his own memories, where once his grandfather kept the olive press, and presents itself today as a space rich in resonance, in which an authentic vision of hospitality is brought back to life. The kitchen, entrusted with great sensitivity to resident chef Nicola Somma, consistently interprets the chef’s vision: a continuous dialogue between North and South, between homeland and adopted home, expressed through harmonious and recognisable dis

Al Palazzo is the renowned restaurant at the Palazzo Murat hotel which is run by the Attanasio family. Dine alfresco in the restaurant’s beautiful botanical garden with its tiny vegetable patch, apart from on rare days of bad weather, when guests are served indoors in its small, elegant dining rooms. The Mediterranean cuisine includes meat and fish dishes alike, with slightly different menus at lunchtime (simpler options) and in the evening. Le Petit Murat bar is still open, offering an interesting selection of cocktails to supplement its excellent wine list.

An elegant restaurant within Le Sirenuse, one of the most prestigious and glamorous hotels on the Amalfi coast, with an attractive outdoor terrace for summer dining with views of Positano’s colourful houses clinging to the cliff face. Whether you choose to eat inside or out, a romantic atmosphere is guaranteed thanks to the hundreds of candles lit every evening. At the helm, Neapolitan chef Gennaro Russo maintains the restaurant’s high standards with his Mediterranean dishes, often influenced by Campania and inspired by classic favourites. The flavours of southern Italy are showcased in delici
