Hubertusstube
Classic Cuisine · ★ Michelin

A meal at the Hotel Jagdhof restaurant is all about the ingredients – the quality is fantastic. Spanning five to seven courses, the set menu composed by junior chef Alban Pfurtscheller and team showcases regional ingredients supplemented by some from further afield. Highlights range from aromatic smoked locally caught char to three-week-aged saddle of venison from the hotel's own hunting grounds and perfectly cooked medallions of ultra-fresh Breton lobster tail. The wine list is second to none – drawing on a wealth of expertise and a collection of 1 250 labels and around 20 000 bottles, the st

Die Geniesserstube im Alpenhof
Alpine, Classic Cuisine · ★ Michelin

The Alpenhof hotel has created a really inviting space for its diners. The Genießerstube may be a dining option for hotel guests, but having been expertly set apart, it feels like a small restaurant in its own right. Diners take their seats in a cosy, elegant wood-panelled room with just a few tables and enjoy the attentions of an experienced, attentive and well-organised front-of-house team – the chefs occasionally deliver the food themselves. In his four- to six-course set menu, head chef Maximilian Stock draws on excellent produce to create clearly structured and flavourful dishes, such as

This restaurant is situated within the Feuerstein Nature Family Resort, a 5-star property which continues to expand and which nestles in the verdant Val di Fleres, not far from Vipiteno and even closer to the Austrian border. In the small, elegant dining room here, the focus is on creative, regional cuisine, with dishes often accompanied by herbs and vegetables sourced from the property’s own kitchen garden where they are grown without the use of chemicals. Top-quality seasonal ingredients take pride of place in the cuisine here, while the well-stocked wine cellar features a good selection of

Kleine Flamme
Fusion, Creative
€€€
In his small open-view kitchen situated in the centre of this restaurant, chef Bacher Burkhard develops his vision of fusion cuisine with energy and precision, combining flavours from Italy and the Alto Adige with Asian spices and techniques to create delicious and imaginative dishes. His tuna tataki is superb, seasoned with salty lemon oil and accompanied by intriguing bitter herbs that (as Professor Montanari has noted in a recent book) are particularly popular with Italians. The chef’s wife Annelies works front of house, where she looks after guests in a friendly and professional manner.
