After years working in Michelin-starred restaurants in Lazio, owner-chef Kerim Jlali has achieved his dream of opening his own restaurant here, along with his life-partner Chiara. In an informal and colourful setting, the chef demonstrates his passion for fish and seafood, transforming his ingredients into contemporary recipes using skilful techniques (he refers to his restaurant as a “lab”) . The end results are visually striking and full of colour.

This brand-new restaurant boasts an elegant, chic decor and a relaxed and informal ambience. The very young team here is overseen by a talented chef who prepares modern and creative dishes with a focus on fish from the local gulf, as well as elsewhere. The wine list is also particularly interesting, featuring a remarkable choice of champagnes and a special emphasis on labels from Lazio.

Inspired by the famous film Bitter Rice, directed by Giuseppe De Santis, who was born in Fondi, this restaurant welcomes guests into elegant dining rooms and a lush courtyard which is perfect for summer evenings. The cuisine looks to the present with a well-balanced creative flair that is evident in dishes such as the cuttlefish lasagnetta, served with an intense creamy sauce made from cuttlefish ink and offal, or the intriguing sweet “pinzimonio”, a fresh and light dessert that combines sweet-and-sour vegetables with softer notes. Situated in these premises since 2015, Fausto has become a local favourite thanks to the quality and style of its cuisine which combines classic flavours and regional influences. Two of the chef’s great passions (chocolate and ice cream) always feature on the dessert menu, while the cool outdoor space near the entrance adds to the appeal.

Situated in the beautiful Volturno valley, this excellent restaurant boasts classic decor and a relaxed atmosphere. Here, owner-chef Renato Martino succeeds in expressing his love for the region in his dishes, which include the famous Black Casertano suckling pig, duck, lamb and the renowned buffalo mozzarella. The fish is also excellent, with mullet, John Dory and bream all featuring on the menu.

There’s a real alchemy here between the young owner who is passionate about wine and the talented chef who boasts an impressive CV. Carefully chosen ingredients sourced directly from small local producers are the basis for its exciting, delicious dishes, while the wine list features some interesting organic wines.
