'Where history meets hospitality' is more than the motto of this truly remarkable centrally located hotel, it is a statement of intent. The hotel stands on a site that has a heritage dating back to Roman Britain, and many unearthed artefacts are proudly displayed in the Museum of London. There are a multitude of attractions and experiences to be enjoyed nearby; take a trip back in time with a visit to Shakespeare's Globe or join the ultra hip with a visit to the Tate Modern art gallery. The Thames Path is near to the hotel and a relaxing walk along the River Thames is particularly recommended in the summer months, whilst a spin on the London Eye will provide spectacular views of a truly great city at any time of year. The hotel prides itself on high quality service and all rooms are spacious and equipped with everything that guests will need during the stay. The hotel is just steps from The Shard. The View From The Shard is a fantastic tourist attraction and offers panoramic 360-degree views across the capital and beyond. The gym is currently under renovation, guests can use a local gym near the hotel until the renovation has been completed at the end of 2025.

This is the spot that the capital’s Hellenic food enthusiasts have been crying out for, with utterly delicious sharing dishes that include spreads and breads, tuna in various forms, plenty from the charcoal grill and standouts like spanakopita and giouvetsi. Located on the edge of Borough Market, underneath its sister restaurant OMA, is this simple yet brilliantly effective ‘souvla bar’. Skewers are at the core of the menu – like the excellent slow-roast pork souvlaki – but it would be foolish to overlook the wonderful range of dips and beautifully puffed flatbreads served straight from the oven. It’s stripped-back cooking done with great skill, resulting in dishes so satisfying you’ll want to order them twice. They're deservedly busy, so make sure you snap up one of the limited bookings or get here for midday when they open.

It’s an extremely popular place and rightly so, with attractive pricing, efficient service and downright delicious cooking. The menu lends itself to sharing and each dish is packed with flavour, including the terrific grilled mussel skewers and some lip-tingling curries.
