Oizumi Sushi
Japanese, Sushi · ★ Michelin
$$$
Toro nigiri with smoked salmon roe, sea bass sushi, bluefin akami served on a shiso leaf, and even more delicate creations such as spicy tuna on a crispy puffed rice leaf all feature on the menu in this modest eatery that takes its names from the Japanese town of Ōizumi, in Gunma province, home to the biggest concentration of Brazilian immigrants in the country. Here, the only option is a single 16-course Omakase menu that is meticulously prepared with fresh fish of the day, as well as a selection of other species that chef Danilo Maciel matures in a special cabinet in the restaurant to ensure

Kinoshita
Japanese · ★ Michelin

Located in the quieter Vila Nova Conceição neighbourhood, next to the extensive Parque do Ibirapuera, Kinoshita is one of the most prestigious restaurants in São Paulo as it was a trail-blazer in bringing authentic “kappo” cuisine (“kappo” simply means “to cut and to cook” and is one of the purest forms of Japanese cuisine, to the extent that its chefs are considered true artisans requiring a minimum of 15 years of training) to the city. This attractive eatery, with its exotic feel and lots of greenery on display, features several dining rooms that lead to the main room with a counter around t

Would you like to experience a distinctive culinary journey? Book a table at Aiô now. Here, the proposal is based on Taiwanese cuisine with international touches that take you on a journey through surprising flavours. Set on the same street as its sister restaurant, Mapu, the establishment features a characteristic glass façade and, inside, a bar at the entrance offering an intriguing variety of drinks: signature, re‑imagined and even Taiwanese‑inspired. The menu is straightforward and makes no distinction between starters and mains, which allows for sharing or opting for an individual tasting

Brasserie Victória

It is estimated that the Lebanese community and its descendants living in Brazil nowadays is greater than the current-day population of the Lebanon. The first immigrants arrived in the 1880s, consequently, many dishes of Arabian origin became typical Brazilian dishes, such as sfiha and kibe. This brasserie has been serving authentic Arabian cuisine for seven decades, transforming the Victoria into a gastronomic icon in the Greater São Paulo area. Founded by Dona Victória, it has been run by the same family for several generations. The menu offers a wide variety of mouthwatering options such as

AE! Cozinha

AE! Cozinha was born from a desire to transform gastronomy into a true sensory narrative, uniting technical rigour and heartfelt cooking in every dish. With a keen eye for identity and harmony, the concept blends contemporary references with cherished food memories, resulting in fresh creations and boldly defined flavours. Set in a spacious room flooded with natural light, the seasonal menu champions quality ingredients and well-balanced combinations. Our recommendation? Among the starters, the house classic — a creamy pastel, a crispy fried pastry parcel, filled with Lua Cheia cheese — and, f

Nestled in a charming little house in the heart of Jardim Paulistano, it surprises with three interconnected rooms featuring a contemporary Mediterranean décor that plays with whitish tones and understated furnishings. The acclaimed chef Helena Rizzo, who currently works here in a highly successful collaboration with Belgian chef Willem Vandeven, has always sought to deliver a gastronomic experience rooted in coherence. Building on this foundation, the kitchen champions Brazilian produce — claiming that 90% of the ingredients are organic — approaching it with avant-garde techniques and genuine

Fancy a little trip to Japan? Ring the doorbell at the entrance of this spot, and you can make that dream come true — no jet lag required. The moment you step into this extremely simple, rustic-minimalist, and unpretentious space, you are in the hands of chef Helio Makoto Yamashita, a sushi master who has refined his omakase menu over the years, drawing on outstanding technique and the exceptional quality of the fish he works with. There are a handful of tables, generally small, but the best seat in the house is at the counter, where you can watch up close the preparation of both the sushi and

Pobre Juan

Inspired by traditional Argentine restaurants, Pobre Juan opened its first location in 2004 and today has a presence across all five regions of Brazil. Its concept is to offer high-quality produce in a rustic, relaxed setting, defined by warm wood tones, cosy lighting, and the irresistible aroma of the grill. Across all its locations, the selection process for the meats — as well as the fish and seafood featured on the menu — is carried out with the utmost rigour, from the careful sourcing of their origins to the ageing process. From the parrilla come premium cuts such as Bife Ancho, picanha,
