Riso Amaro

Modern Cuisine, Italian Contemporary

€€

Inspired by the famous film Bitter Rice, directed by Giuseppe De Santis, who was born in Fondi, this restaurant welcomes guests into elegant dining rooms and a lush courtyard which is perfect for summer evenings. The cuisine looks to the present with a well-balanced creative flair that is evident in dishes such as the cuttlefish lasagnetta, served with an intense creamy sauce made from cuttlefish ink and offal, or the intriguing sweet “pinzimonio”, a fresh and light dessert that combines sweet-and-sour vegetables with softer notes. The concise but thoughtfully curated wine list features labels

Da Fausto

Country cooking, Modern Cuisine

€€

Situated in these premises since 2015, Fausto has become a local favourite thanks to the quality and style of its cuisine which combines classic flavours and regional influences. Two of the chef’s great passions (chocolate and ice cream) always feature on the dessert menu, while the cool outdoor space near the entrance adds to the appeal.

Locanda Altobelli

Traditional Cuisine

€€

A pleasant little restaurant that differs from the many fish options in town with its traditional regional meat-based cuisine. There’s a real alchemy here between the young owner who is passionate about wine and the talented chef who boasts an impressive CV. Carefully chosen ingredients sourced directly from small local producers are the basis for its exciting, delicious dishes, while the wine list features some interesting organic wines. Small outdoor space for alfresco dining.
