Agriturismo Lama Di Valle Rosa

In a quiet corner of the center, a small, discreet door opens onto two interconnected dining rooms: modern yet simply elegant. The air is fragrant with Romagna: hand-rolled fresh pasta, tender Swiss chard and ricotta tortelli cloaked in melted butter and Parmigiano, golden oven-baked lasagne, rustic tagliatelle bathed in a richly flavored prosciutto ragù. The main courses are a triumph of taste: tender tongue and succulent cotechino paired with velvety purée and creamy sauces. The finale is sweet and enveloping, with the moist-hearted tenerina accompanied by a small glass brimming with soft, f

After forty years of experience, their consistency and care make this one of Ferrara’s most sought-after tables (best to book well in advance!). Guests enter intimate dining rooms of welcoming warmth, where service is gracious and precise. The menu is fragrant with the sea: fish dishes prepared with classic elegance and modern touches, such as the green bean and vegetable velouté crowned with raw scampi, fresh and glistening. Meat offerings are equally rewarding, rich and flavorful, with the celebrated potato sformato and gratinéed salama da sugo releasing intense aromas from the oven.

The mother of the current owner opened this busy restaurant in a medieval alleyway in the historic centre, giving it her own name. The historic dishes here reflect the culinary traditions of Ferrara, with specialities such as salama da sugo (pork sausage) and pasticcio di maccheroni (a baked pasta dish) on the menu. A must for anyone looking to sample local dishes already famous during the time of the Este family.

A small restaurant in the heart of the city, refined and romantic, where soft spotlights cast a gentle glow over the tables, creating an intimate, comforting atmosphere. The flavors are entrusted to chef-owner Bacilieri, who crafts modern, harmonious dishes rooted in seasonality and the freshness of ingredients, spanning both meat and fish. Not to be missed: the dessert course, here it is a true indulgence for the palate. Service, led by a young, passionate team, attends to every detail of the experience with warmth and care.

Makorè celebrates ten years of evolution, born in symbiosis with the adjacent fishmonger and devoted to the sea from the start. Year after year, the quality of the experience has grown steadily, thanks to the passion of the kitchen crew. In the elegant dining room overlooking the crew, the journey begins with a choice: the 10-course “Decennale” tasting menu tracing their history, the Blind surprise menu of varying length, or a small à la carte selection illustrated verbally. Modern recipes, harmonious pairings, and carefully calibrated balance define the experience. Before dessert, an indulgen

A restaurant and an inn in a small country village, it’s the right place if you’re looking for hospitality and you appreciate the regional cuisine, made of snails and frogs, but also fish from the nearby sea. Something for every palate.

On the outskirts of Ferrara, this classic-style restaurant, run reliably by the same family for five generations, serves cuisine based mainly around local ingredients. Highlights include homemade fresh pasta (their tortellini in broth or served with a delicious creamy Parmigiano Reggiano sauce are excellent) and truffles, served mainly on fresh-egg pasta and risottos but also on some main courses such as foil-baked guinea fowl with fried cream and roast potatoes.
