Teatro Inn - Timeless Charm

Situated on the first floor of the 13C military fort in the centre of Rubiera, this elegant restaurant boasts five dining rooms, each one more delightful than the last and all frescoed, with the exception of the old limonaia which is decorated with wallpaper depicting its former function. This stylish and romantic setting provides the backdrop for young and enthusiastic chef Jacopo Malpeli who, having been born and raised between Parma and Reggio, creates cuisine that reflects the grandeur and opulence of local culinary traditions. On arriving in Via Stella, one immediately senses how naturally this restaurant frees itself from frills and accolades, embracing instead a sober elegance, enhanced by major works of contemporary art that reflect Massimo Bottura’s personal passion. The same measured language returns in the kitchen, where greatness is expressed through control, balance and vision: a narrative that begins in Modena and Emilia before reaching towards the great international classics, reinterpreted by the chef with that playful lightness which reminds us that food should first and foremost be pleasure, memory and

Just a minute’s drive from the Campogalliano motorway exit, this ultra-classic restaurant has made a name for itself over the years thanks to its excellent price-quality ratio, which has remained surprisingly stable even at times when inflation has been high. The menu features numerous traditional Emilian dishes — gnocco fritto, tortellini, and Emilian-style “fritto misto” — alongside some of the great classics of Italian cuisine. The finale is left to the cake counter, situated right at the entrance to the restaurant: a riot of homemade desserts that invites you to choose whatever takes your

Situated in a period palazzo near one of Modena’s oldest churches (the façade of Santa Maria della Pomposa dates from the medieval period and the church was rebuilt in 1717), this recently restored, modern and minimalist restaurant has just nine tables and is adorned with contemporary paintings on its walls. There are numerous options here: a tasting menu which focuses on historic Emilian recipes (tortellini in capon broth, tagliatelle in a Modena-style ragù etc); a second menu featuring the chef’s latest dishes; a vegetarian option; and an à la carte which includes many of the restaurant’s ho

The Emilian authenticity of the Barolo brothers and their team fills the air with smiles and warmth, making every visit to this simple and welcoming restaurant a pleasure, the perfect place to enjoy the company of friends or colleagues. The menu is steeped in tradition: it is impossible to resist their pasta dishes, such as the creamy and satisfying “gramigna sporcafaccia” or tortellini covered in a velvety smooth Parmesan cream sauce. Desserts include a crunchy “sbrisolona” cake served with zabaglione made with passito wine, while the “zuppa inglese” trifle releases deliciously smooth notes t

A late 19th century building houses this simple but welcoming restaurant, which moves its service outdoors during the summer months, creating a pleasant and informal atmosphere. The menu alternates traditional local specialities with Italian dishes, featuring a significant selection of seafood options. Raw seafood is always on the menu: served plain or in slightly more elaborate versions, it is one of the most popular choices among diners.

In the heart of the lower Padana valley, in the open countryside and in a lovely, specially restored farmhouse, Claudio prepares almost exclusively seafood cuisine of excellent quality, with a few southern accents, particularly from Puglia, his homeland. In summer, it is pleasant to sit at outdoor tables under the modern portico. The indoor dining room on the first floor has a contemporary feel.
