Mocotó Vila Leopoldina

This restaurant is an excellent reference point for discovering Brazilian cuisine, and a safe bet for enjoying a great meal! The concept follows the same line as the mother house: informal, inclusive cooking full of personality, combining the influences from the Sertanejo plains inherited from José Almeida (the chef’s father) with the innovative perspective of award-winning chef Rodrigo Oliveira. With predominantly cheerful colours and an open kitchen that livens up the room, the atmosphere gives off simplicity and good vibes, along with an intact identity expressed through seasonings and flav

One of the standout restaurants in the Baixo Pinheiros area! This establishment, under the direction of chef Tássia Magalhães — who leads an all-female kitchen team — offers an enticing menu of Italian-influenced signature dishes. On the floor, the wine list is carefully curated by Danyel Steinle, who champions Brazilian labels without overlooking international references, ensuring pairings that are both precise and elegant. The experience is divided into three formats: the 11-course Experiência menu, served exclusively at the kitchen counter, a 6-course menu inspired by the delicacy and stren

A restaurant that will come as something of a surprise given its location inside the Pintar Artistic Materials boutique, in the Pompeia district of the city. Here, you’ll find an unpretentious yet welcoming ambience, plus a glass-fronted patio with an organic garden. Young chef Victor Dimitrow, who gained experience working in leading restaurants in Europe, creates contemporary cuisine which is fragrant, full of taste and highly expressive from fresh and organic ingredients, but without unnecessary frills. The menu is updated every three weeks or so and offers three full options (including cov

This restaurant located on the rear patio of a century-old property has the added and somewhat surprising bonus of a large wine shop. Enthusiastically run by young chefs Juliana and Guilherme (a couple who met in the French town of Écully), it features outdoor tables in the courtyard with its abundant greenery, including a large jabuticabeira tree growing between the tables. In this setting, which is particularly romantic at night when candlelit, the cuisine showcases regional ingredients and combines Brazilian, French and Italian influences through dishes such as the gnocchi au gratin with be

Formerly located at a different address, this restaurant run by renowned chef Bel Coelho is back with a bang to enhance the dining options on offer in the charming Vila Madalena neighbourhood of São Paulo. In this attractive small property with a rustic feel and bistro ambience, the chef offers a contemporary take on Brazilian cuisine with an added international touch, and featuring organic ingredients sourced from small-scale local producers. The menu, which is designed for sharing, features light dishes which are meticulously prepared and affordably priced. Top recommendations here include t

A delightful restaurant in the Vila Madalena district of the city, featuring a natural plant-covered façade, a glass-fronted dining room and an open kitchen with restrained tones and a simple decor. Here, chef Nando Carneiro creates innovative cuisine with a contemporary touch and a combination of seasonal ingredients. The superb wine selection is the domain of sommelier and front-of-house manager Patrícia Werneck. The cooking at Nomo is out of the ordinary and includes combinations of high-quality ingredients and impressive flavours that come as a pleasant surprise. One of the standout dishes

Occupying a charming small house in the Pinheiros district, Più boasts a pleasant, cosy ambience enhanced by its exposed brick walls, open garden and views of the kitchen and bar. This restaurant was one of the first in the region to offer a unique combination of affordable prices and a fusion between Italian cuisine and high-quality Brazilian ingredients. In the kitchen, run by chef Marcelo Laskani, expect classic dishes such as lasagne bolognese made with green pasta and enhanced with Italian mortadella, and the mouthwatering polpettone gratin stuffed with cheese and topped with a delicate t

This restaurant definitely impresses thanks to its cuisine and its creativity. In its location in the vibrant Pinheiros area of the city, in a house framed by large windows and with a kitchen which opens out onto the dining room, chef Iago Jacomussi, whose career has seen him work in leading restaurants in Brazil and Europe, conjures up dishes based around seasonal ingredients in recipes that combine traditional Brazilian cooking with European and Asian influences. The concise menu, which is designed for sharing, features options such as raw fish of the day served with avocado cream, a tomato
