Sine by Di Pinto
Italian Contemporary · ★ Michelin
€€€€
Sine serves contemporary cuisine influenced by the chef’s native Naples, as well as the local region of Lombardy. The dishes are occasionally playful in style, as demonstrated by the shrimp ravioli served in various ways, including with an intensely flavoured fish stew. The chef’s speciality is his fried pizzetta with palamita fish and courgettes, while his new dishes are showcased on the exciting and creative “Sine Confini” menu, on which he demonstrates his culinary skills to the full. Attentive, courteous service and a constantly evolving wine list which includes some lesser-known labels co

Andrea Aprea
Italian Contemporary, Creative · ★★ Michelin
€€€€
Located on the top floor, with lift, of the Luigi Rovati Foundation, in a magnificent historic building renovated according to certified sustainability criteria and which also houses a very refined Art Museum, chef patron Andrea Aprea crowns the dream of a restaurant of his own: a space of great scenic impact, totally projected towards the open kitchen, with the walls of the central room covered in bucchero (the characteristic black ceramic used by the Etruscans to make their vases). It is here that you can admire the chef and his brigade intent on preparing the dishes of the three tasting men

Seta by Antonio Guida
International, Contemporary · ★★ Michelin
€€€€
Within the Mandarin Oriental, a symbol of Milanese luxury hospitality, Antonio Guida’s kitchen elegantly interprets the city’s cosmopolitan taste. Three tasting menus are offered: one dedicated to the chef’s classics, one to seasonality, and one to a single featured ingredient. In winter, dishes of great finesse come to the fore, from game to veal sweetbreads with cinnamon, through to a raspberry risotto, with desserts of a distinctly contemporary character. The wine list is of a high standard, available by the glass as well as by the bottle, and enhanced by magnums of notable vintages, alongs

Verso Capitaneo
Creative, Mediterranean Cuisine · ★★ Michelin
€€€€
From the entrance on Piazza Duomo, you take a lift to this restaurant on the second floor where three long tables are arranged in front of the open-view kitchen so that guests can watch the chefs at work (there are also more traditional tables away from the kitchen if you prefer something more conventional). The Capitaneo brothers from Puglia are at the helm here, serving creative cuisine with the occasional influence from their native region, as well as dishes that also embrace the gastronomic traditions of their adopted city of Milan.

Joia
Vegetarian, Seasonal Cuisine · ★ Michelin

When you walk through the door, it's like stepping into a world suspended between philosophy and taste. This restaurant, the first in Italy to have introduced vegetarian and natural dishes to fine dining, conveys a message in every single detail: respect, awareness and harmony. Today, under the leadership of young chefs Sauro Ricci and Raffaele Minghini, Pietro Leemann's legacy translates into dishes that resemble works of art, evocative even in their names: Col favore della luna (With the favour of the moon), Ombelico del mondo (Navel of the world), La rosa che non colsi (The rose I did not p

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is one of the most iconic sights in Milan and as such it is apt that it is home to this star of Italian cuisine, whose professional career is one of the most impressive in Italy with influences that include the culinary master Alain Ducasse and wine expert Giorgio Pinchiorri. Together with owner Carlo, resident chef Luca Sacchi creates top-quality cuisine with impeccable technique. He showcases his dishes on a carefully composed tasting menu and an à la carte, with references to contemporary Italian cuisine in dishes such as the open ravioli and reinterpretati

Housed in the Casa Baglioni hotel, a beautiful Art Nouveau building dating from 1913, this restaurant has a contemporary feel with an elegant dining room featuring colourful armchairs. The cuisine is precise and distinctive, with a harmonious balance of traditional and innovative flavours thanks to the top-quality ingredients used. The wine list is also top-notch, featuring excellent Italian and international wines, including some rare and exclusive labels. Da Giannino - L'Angolo d'Abruzzo
Cuisine from Abruzzo, Traditional Cuisine · Bib
€€
A simple and informal urban trattoria with a friendly atmosphere, tables arranged close together and typical red-and-white check tablecloths. The Abruzzo takes centre stage in the delicious cuisine served here – we particularly recommend the sagne (a type of pasta) and beans, the maccheroni alla chitarra, the roast lamb and the arrosticini (skewers of mutton).
