The surprise multi-course tasting menu is a masterpiece of originality, intrigue and precision, featuring flavours and tastes from all four compass points of India. While the chefs work away with quiet diligence and focus in the open kitchen, the service team provide detailed explanations of each elegant creation. A little theatre here and there with certain courses adds to an unforgettable experience. There’s something magical happening here – and with just 15 seats and a rooftop location – you’ll feel you’re in on the secret. Pro tip: arrive to dinner a little earlier to enjoy signature cock

2024 saw Chef Dani García bring his popular Madrid restaurant to the St. Regis Gardens on the Palm Jumeirah. Located at the back of Leña, this intimate and dark room with a large semi-circular table seats 14 guests and overlooks a kitchen with an open fire and grills, a style Chef Dani dubs “Fire Omakase”. The experience is immersive and engaging, with chefs guiding diners through the 11-course menu and explaining in detail the creative and technically skilled dishes, such as sea cucumber carbonara. Desserts are a particular highlight, especially the confidently and skilfully executed burnt pu

This gastronomic venture comes from acclaimed British chef, Jason Atherton. Its name combines the acronym for its “refinement of work” and its location on the 45th floor of The Grosvenor House. A penthouse-like setting with an open kitchen, this intimate culinary experience seats 22 guests and offers a 17-course tasting menu divided into three acts. The dishes feature fine Japanese ingredients prepared with French techniques, such as amebi and bafun uni. The full menu is sophisticated, refined and immaculately presented, delivering well-judged and complex flavours. If you’re going to opt for t

With a simple ring of a doorbell, you are transported to an elevated dining experience set in what looks like someone’s home. It starts in the Scandi-inspired sitting room for canapes and aperitifs; then, dinner takes place around an impressive open kitchen, where you are greeted by the chefs before service begins. An array of dishes showcases the blend of Asian and Scandinavian influences that make great use of the finest luxury ingredients, such as shellfish from the Norwegian Sea and turbot from Brittany. It's not often sharks and stingrays swim past you as you dine but, then again, there aren’t many restaurants with huge windows looking into an aquarium of 65,000 marine animals. From the moment you descend the marble spiral staircase into this unique restaurant at the Atlantis, you’ll find yourself transfixed and fully immersed. Each course of the ten-course tasting menu tells a story of explorers who have navigated around the Atlantic Ocean; many of the dishes are finished off at the table with an added dash of theatricality.

Doors magically slide open as you approach this large, dark and atmospheric restaurant on the first floor of the Atlantis The Royal hotel. Using the principle of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’, the menu is a facsimile of the one in London, so that means British dishes from across the centuries invigorated with prime ingredients. ‘Rice & Flesh’ and the much-photographed ‘Meat Fruit’ are the two classic starters; for dessert, order the ‘Tipsy Cake’ which uses pineapples that you can watch being spit-roasted in the corner of the on-view kitchen.

Vibrant, modern Indian cooking is on offer at this fun and funky poolside restaurant, where the charming team provide helpful service with a smile. Street food meets sharing plates on the appealingly eclectic menu, with choices from the earth (vegetarian), land (meat) and sea. Colourful dishes, like the tandoori cauliflower roast, and lamb biriyani kofta, come in generous portions.
