Can Jubany

Modern Cuisine · ★ Michelin

€€€€

A standout name in Catalan cuisine, both for its setting in a delightful farmhouse and the talent of chef Nandu Jubany, a man with a passion for motorbikes to the point where he has even taken part in the Dakar rally. The entrance to Can Jubany enables guests to admire the adjoining vegetable garden which provides many of its ingredients as well as the kitchen, where the focus is on a balance between tradition and cutting-edge cuisine. The welcoming interior is a pleasant surprise, featuring several rooms with a rustic-contemporary feel, different spaces for a post-dinner drink, plus a chef’s

Urbisol

€€

Situated in a family-run hotel (Urbisol) that stands out for its natural surroundings and the extraordinary hospitality of the entire team, with Carles Badia in the kitchen, along with his son Oriol, and Elisabet Jubany (sister of award-winning chef Nandu Jubany) overseeing the dining room. The restaurant, located next to the reception area and with a contemporary atmosphere, offers updated traditional cuisine that aims to stimulate the palate. The menu, with dishes such as mushroom risotto with parmesan and foie gras, fried eggs with vegetables, Iberian ham and truffle oil, and monkfish and p

Sala

Traditional Cuisine · ★ Michelin

€€€

It’s well worth remembering this restaurant as there are very few of this standard in the Osona area, plus it’s an excellent dining option along the officially designated Catalan Romanesque Route. Located next to the town hall, it boasts an impressive stone façade, plus an ante-room bar area (where you can order Sala’s less expensive set menus) which leads to the main dining room. Chef Antonio Sala, who has started to hand over the reins to his sons (one in the dining room; the other in the kitchen), creates a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, sticking with his classic dishes on

Torre Simón

Traditional Cuisine

€€

A restaurant with a historic feel, occupying a delightful colonial-inspired villa on the outskirts of Tona. Choose between the contemporary-inspired à la carte and an impressive gastronomic menu with a pre-determined array of interesting and different starters but with the freedom to choose the main course and dessert from the à la carte.

Les Voltes de Sant Sebastià

Catalan

€€

A restaurant with a rustic feel occupying former stables that have retained their vaulted ceilings. The pleasantly updated cuisine here is Catalan focused, consistent in its quality and always champions local ingredients. Pleasant patio-terrace, plus an unusual cistern that has been converted into a wine cellar.

Boccatti

Seafood, Catalan

€€€

A family-run restaurant that has been keeping its customers happy since 1978! Maritime-inspired cuisine that is particularly renowned for its wild-caught fish and seafood. Booking recommended.

VIA

Regional Cuisine

€€€

This restaurant occupies the ‘piano nobile’ of the Casa Fontcuberta, an aristocratic property in the centre of town with a striking 19th-century decor and scenes of local life and customs depicted on 18th-century frescoes on its walls. The chef at the helm, Nicolau Roger, opts for a contemporary signature cuisine, with strong Catalan roots, which extols the local seasonal produce, bringing its dishes to diners through a complete à la carte where the fish section and rice dishes for two stand out and several menus (Fontcuberta, El pica-pica del VIA and Degustación del Nico).

Mas Albereda

Traditional Cuisine

€€

Located just six kilometres from the town of Vic, this restaurant occupies a farmhouse with a pleasantly rustic ambience plus an attractive glass-fronted terrace. The updated take on traditional cuisine on offer here bears the quality stamp of chef Nandu Jubany, and is showcased via a surprising array of daily dishes (both sweet and savoury) as well as a tasting menu. We can particularly recommend the duck breast glazed with a heather-infused honey, plus the rum baba, the finishing touches to which are added at your table.
