Termini Imerese

Termini Imerese is a key town in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, situated on Sicily’s northern coast just 33 km from Palermo. It serves as a major transportation hub, featuring three A19 highway exits, a central railway station connecting all Sicilian lines, and a seaport linking to other Italian maritime cities. Culturally rich, the town offers access to ancient Greek ruins at Himera, Roman remains, numerous churches, and one of Italy’s oldest Carnivals. The historic center features thermal baths at the Grand Hotel delle Terme, utilizing hot waters flowing since Roman times. Nearby, the Oriented Nature Reserve of Mount St. Calogero provides scenic landscapes between the Gulf of Termini Imerese and fertile plains. An industrial zone in the east includes the former FIAT factory and the Ettore Majorana power plant.
