Where to Base
It is recommended to stay in the Old Town or near the Castle district. These areas allow for easy walking access to major attractions such as Sanok Castle and the Museum of Folk Architecture, providing a convenient base for exploring the historic streets without needing frequent transportation.
Getting Around
Sanok does not have a major international airport. Travelers typically fly into nearby Przemyśl, approximately 52 km away, and then transfer via train or bus to reach Sanok. Once in town, the compact Old Town and castle area are best explored on foot, minimizing the need for local transport.
Best Season
Spring and autumn offer pleasant weather for strolling through the Old Town and visiting the outdoor Museum of Folk Architecture. Summer is the ideal time to explore the region's 70 km trail network for hiking and cycling, allowing guests to fully enjoy the natural beauty of the nearby Carpathian Mountains.
