Located in Chemnitz, Villa Esche is an international contemporary restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide. Food quality is generally praised for its creative and fine dishes, such as French chicken and foie gras, though some reviews note issues with temperature or seasoning. Service is largely described as perfect and professional, with knowledgeable sommeliers, although occasional staff were perceived as detached. The ambiance blends Art Nouveau elegance with industrial style. Value is mixed; while some find it worthwhile, others criticize high prices relative to portion sizes, particularly regarding vegetarian options.
Suitable for diners seeking refined cuisine and wine pairings, but those sensitive to value may want to manage expectations.

€€Modern Cuisine, Farm to table
Antje and Ronny Pester's charming restaurant is in the centre of the village, in the side building of the town hall. In a lovely cosy interior, they serve up ambitious modern cuisine that follows the seasons. Plump for either the à la carte menu to be found in the "Gourmet Bistro" section or the four- to six-course set menu dubbed "Menü Restaurant" – a vegetarian version of which can be pre-ordered. The service is attentive and obliging, and the owner's wine recommendations are spot on. There is a lovely terrace to the rear of the building.
