Taiyuan Wusu International Airport TYNZBYN

Taiyuan Wusu International Airport (TYN) is Shanxi’s main air gateway, about 15 km southeast of central Taiyuan. Treat it as a provincial trunk airport rather than a major national or alliance mega-hub: China Eastern and Hainan have a notable presence, and the airport also sees domestic operators such as Air China, China Southern, Shenzhen Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Kunming Airlines and West Air. International and regional flying exists, but the airport is still primarily domestic, with Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan and Northeast/Southeast Asia-style services varying by season and schedule. For frequent flyers, the key recent change is landside access: Taiyuan Metro Line 1 now reaches the airport’s T1/T2 station, making the city centre and Taiyuan South Railway Station much easier to use on a layover.
