Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) is Mallorca’s main gateway and a major European leisure airport rather than a classic alliance transfer hub. It has heavy international and seasonal European traffic, plus frequent domestic links to Madrid, Barcelona and the Balearic islands. Air Europa, a SkyTeam member, has a base/focus operation here, while Ryanair, Vueling, easyJet, Eurowings and other leisure carriers are highly visible. Do not expect a Madrid- or Frankfurt-style alliance hub: many connections are self-connects, summer peaks can be intense, and long walks between modules matter.
