Multan International Airport MUXOPMT

Multan International Airport (MUX) is best understood as South Punjab’s regional international gateway, not a major global hub and not an alliance hub. Its traffic is built around domestic Pakistan services plus Gulf and Middle East links, with operators commonly including PIA, airblue/Fly Jinnah, flydubai, Air Arabia/Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, Saudia, SalamAir and Qatar Airways depending on schedule. The airport uses a compact single passenger terminal for both domestic and international operations, with separate domestic/international departure areas and immigration/customs for international flights. It is only about 4 km west of Multan, so a taxi/radio cab or locally available ride-hailing is usually the most practical way into the city, often around 15–25 minutes in normal traffic. MUX is not designed as a complex transfer hub: allow extra time for baggage, security and immigration, especially on separate tickets. There is no well-known airside transit hotel or sleep-pod setup; for a long layover, the short distance to town makes a brief city visit realistic if visa, baggage and schedule conditions allow.
