Kenneth Kaunda International Airport LUNFLKK
Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) is Lusaka’s main international gateway, about 27 km from the central business district. It is Zambia’s key airport and a practical regional hub for southern and eastern Africa, but not a mega-hub on the scale of Doha, Dubai, Addis Ababa or Johannesburg. Zambia Airways and Proflight Zambia are based here, while international links are provided by a mix of African and long-haul carriers including Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways, Qatar Airways, Emirates, Turkish Airlines, South African Airways, RwandAir, Airlink and others. Alliance-wise, expect useful coverage rather than dominance: Star Alliance, oneworld and SkyTeam carriers all appear, but LUN is not a major alliance fortress hub.
