London City Airport LCYEGLC

London City Airport (LCY) is a compact, city-focused airport in the Royal Docks, built around short-haul point-to-point flying rather than hub connections. It is not a major global hub: British Airways CityFlyer has the strongest base-like presence and gives LCY its main oneworld footprint, while airlines such as KLM, Lufthansa-group/SWISS and others provide European network links. The airport has one passenger terminal, short walking distances, no inter-terminal transfer issue, and a DLR station connected to the terminal. For most travelers the best way into central London is the DLR to Bank, taking roughly the low-20-minute range, with easy onward Tube connections. LCY is excellent for fast London access and same-day business trips, but it is not a lounge-heavy or layover-friendly airport: there are no true airline flagship lounges, no airside hotel, and long waits are usually better spent outside the airport if time allows.
